The way I travel Alaska has changed over the years. Today, I’m drawn to smaller ships, remote yet comfortable lodges, and uncrowded wilderness where nature sets the pace. That's my definition of luxury…the freedom to explore Alaska in a more meaningful and personal way.
As friends, family and fellow travelers began asking for advice, I realized my passion had become something more. I wanted to help others experience Alaska, and Alaska Luxury Travel was born. Today my goal is to build relationships founded on trust and friendship as we navigate the planning process together to create a beautiful Alaska vacation.
My love affair with Alaska began in 2002 when my husband Jeff, and I took our first cruise-tour. Never had I experienced a place so vast, filled with incredible wildlife, breathtaking scenery, rich culture, and endless adventure. Living near Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the time, we returned to explore Alaska every year.
In 2010, our family took a leap of faith and moved to Palmer, Alaska, and we've never looked back. People often ask why I choose to live here. My answer is simple: every morning I look out my window, and I'm still in awe. We continue exploring The Last Frontier, knowing we'll never experience everything in one lifetime. But, we're certainly going to try.

On our first trip to Alaska, we took a train north from Anchorage to Talkeetna. The Chugach and Talkeetna mountains rose high in the air from the valley floor. The
weather was misty creating beautiful, moody view. As we crested a hill, in front of us was the Alaska range, and for a moment, the top of Mt. Denali was visible towering twice as high as peaks we had been admiring. It was breathtaking! The image is burned into my memories. I firmly believe, the first time you see Denali is something you never forget.
Seeing an orca in the wild was was always a dream. The first time I saw one was life changing. It was in Kenai Fjords National Park on a glacier day cruise. As we sailed along the cliffs, a pod surfaced that included a mother and her calf. We lingered at a safe distance, just watching for about an hour. The experience of seeing an animal you’ve dreamed of living where it should be was surreal. I still watch for them every time I go to sea.
